ADFP admits institutions or bodies and members subject to compliance with the following entry and participation Criteria:
A registered organization in DFS
Individual practicing or skilled in DFS
In order to maintain membership of ADFP, a member must comply on a continuous basis with the requirements which include annual subscription payment
The membership is classified as Fellow, Full-Associate, Associate, and Affiliate depending on the qualifications and experience attained.
ADFP may engage with donors, cooperating partners and other sponsors on project and assignments and may be affiliated as Collaborating Member
The eligible members for ADFP must have completed at least a course offered by the DFI, such as Certificate in Digital Money (CIDM), Leading Digital Money Markets (LDMM) to qualify for the affiliate membership, with the highest designation being Chartered Digital finance Practitioners (CDFP).

The association offers courses in digital finance, including the Certificate in Digital Money (CIDM), Leading Digital Money Markets (LDMM), Customer and Users of Digital Payments (CU), Regulation of Digital Finance Services (Reg), and Technology and Operational Enablers (Tech). These courses cover various topics such as digital money, digital payment users, digital finance regulation, and technology and operational aspects of digital finance.
To obtain CDFP Candidates must complete CIDM and LDMM, specialized papers, and undertake practicals (comprising peer-to-peer learning through participation in, or leading a seminar/webinar/community of practice or a research assignment.
The routes are:
Students can access limited scholarships or apply for discounts. These scholarships are obtained based on a recommendation by ADFP, and thus students are required to be fully paid-up members. Women are also encouraged to apply.
